XPloreTech vient d’annoncer par voie de communiqué de presse la disponibilité de son nouveau Tablet PC renforcé, le ix104C4, carburant désormais au Core Duo et disposant d’un nouvel écran Outdoor/indoor 50% plus lumineux que la rpécédénte génération. Fait assez particulier, cette macine a fait l’objet d’un déploiement sur site et test en grandeur nature (1200 unités) avant d’être réellement disponible au catalogue du constructeur.

Equipé d’un Core 2 Duo à 1.2 Ghz d’u disque dur de 120 Go ou d’un SSD, et disposant du Wifi, Bluetooth, WWAN, GPS, d’un écran 10.4 pouces, d’un GigaOctets de mémoire et livré en XP Tablet PC ou Vista, ce produit répond aux normes militaires sur le renforcement des produits informatiques mobiles et il dispose d’un port Serie intégré, permettant une connexion facilité à nombre d’instruments de mesure

Xplore Launches New iX104C4 Rugged Mobile Computer
 
(AUSTIN, TX)Xplore Technologies Corp. (OTCBB: XLRT), a maker of award-winning rugged mobile computers, today announced its new iX104C4 Tablet PC. “Our new iX104C4 has the best indoor/outdoor viewable display in the market today and signifies another milestone for Xplore as we continue to innovate in the rugged tablet computing segment,” said Mark Holleran, President and Chief Operating Officer of Xplore.
 
One of the first users of the new iX104C4 was Hydro One, the largest electricity transmission and distribution company in Ontario, Canada, where the new units have been tested for several months. "The Xplore tablet is a champion in design, and the newest generation is no exception," stated Blain Smith, Hydro One, “We tested the new iX104C4 and experienced 20% greater performance than other rugged products.”  With more than 1,200 Xplore iX104 systems deployed, Hydro One has seen nearly 100% accuracy for data collected in the field.
 
The iX104C4 design implements best in class sunlight readable display technology, Dual Mode flexible user interface, redesigned antennae, new integrated wireless modules, Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition/ Vista® Business compatibility and improved overall performance.
